On the high bank of the Ural River stands a monument to Valery Chkalov, from which the main street of Orenburg, Soviet Street, begins. Valery Pavlovich himself has no direct connection to Orenburg, but in the 1950s, the city was renamed Chkalov, and naturally, this monument was erected. The monument is located on Pushkin Boulevard, where a beautiful view of the Zauralnaya Grove opens up. The residents of Orenburg are incredibly proud that Pushkin once spent time here, regardless of whether it was one day or two. What matters is that he was here. Three notable monuments in the city are dedicated to Pushkin.
